Cableway Restaurant – Best of NZ Buffet
Our fully licensed Cableway Restaurant and Bar offers a tempting buffet selection in a relaxed atmosphere for groups or couples to enjoy. Open for lunch and dinner, Skyline's Cableway Restaurant is known for its stunning 180 degree, panoramic views over the city of Rotorua, Lake Rotorua and Mt Tarawera. The Cableway Restaurant is suitable for every occasion that requires style, a great atmosphere, delicious quality NZ cuisine and an all round wonderful experience.
Seafood chowder, prawns, shrimp, freshly steamed mussels, grilled salmon, Bay of Plenty lamb cutlets, grilled sirloin steak, grilled chicken, roast kumara with cashews... plus marinated berries, pavlova, gateaux, pastries, ice cream, NZ cheese board and petit fours.
Luge
A World First, proudly designed and built in Rotorua. This fun filled gravity ride on a 3 wheel cart uses a unique steering and braking system providing the rider with full control. With three luge tracks with six entry points, all track are of varying terrain ranging from the sedate Scenic Track to the Advanced Track. Why not have a go after lunch or before dinner!

Duration
- Allow as much time as you want. (Gondola closes at around 9pm)
Dining Times
- Lunch - 11.30am to 2pm
- Dinner - 5.30pm to 8pm
- Luge - open until sunset
- Meet at the base of the gondola building at least 10 minutes before your dining time. You can go up as early as you like to enjoy the views, grab a drink before your meal or have a go on the luge
Other Information
- Child rates apply for kids aged 5 - 14 yrs. Price is $1.50 per year old (eg. a 10 year old costs $15).
- You do not need to book if you just wish to ride the gondola
- Free parking at the Gondola base
- Luge rides operate at the top of the gondola during daylight hours
