Join the Organic Farm Tour for a hands-on experience with a variety of farm animals, visit the Organic Orchard for honey and kiwifruit juice tasting. Visit the Woollen Mill, Shearing Shed and Dog and Whistle souvenir store to complete your Agrodome experience.
Sheep Show - 1 hour
It’s an action-packed hour of farming entertainment and education that’s unlike anything you’ve seen before! Our energetic presenter will take you deep into the world of New Zealand farming where you will be introduced to 19 breeds of sheep; you’ll witness a live sheep shearing demonstration and even have the chance to bid on a sheep in our lively auction.
But it’s not just about the sheep. Be amazed by the remarkable Huntaway dogs and our Strong-eye Heading dog as they demonstrate their ability to respond to commands and keep those sheep in line!
If a hands-on experience is what you want, then jump up on stage for the opportunity to feed the lambs or even hand-milk a cow! And the action doesn’t stop there! When it’s all over inside, head outside to observe the talent of our Strong Eye dog in a live dog trial with three sheep, or pop into the Woollen Mill and Shearing Shed, free of charge, to take in the history of the farming and wool industries.
Organic Farm Tour - 1 hour
Experience the Authentic Working Farm Tour at the Agrodome. It is great fun, educational and very entertaining from start to finish! In one hour, you will tour our pure New Zealand farm in an all-weather, all terrain vehicle.
The Farm Tour is fantastic for children as well as adults. It offers a hands on experience with many exciting close encounters.... you’ll meet animals of all descriptions, including Romney sheep, beef cattle, red and fallow deer, llamas, alpacas, ostrich and emus.
The guided tour shows you all the ins and outs of our 160 hectare farm. We’ll make regular stops along the way so you have a closer look, plus hand-feed and pet the friendly animals. Your friendly, knowledgeable and experienced tour guide will explain everything and answer any questions you might have.
During the Farm Tour, you will also visit our Pure NZ Organic apple, mandarin orange, olive and kiwi fruit orchard. We’ll stop at the Organic Education Center for kiwifruit juice or wine and honey tasting. 100% pure, 100% New Zealand, not to be missed!
