Islands Day Trip - Sail NZ Bay of Islands
About
Description
The Ultimate Day Sail in the Bay aboard Lion New Zealand
Experience the exhilarating ride aboard New Zealand’s most famous racing maxi yacht, Lion New Zealand.
Spend the day with us on Lion New Zealand, the ultimate sailing experience onboard New Zealand’s famous 80ft maxi yacht. Built for the late Sir Peter Blake to race in the 1985/86 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race and winner of the infamous 1984 Sydney to Hobart, this magnificent yacht offers a once in a lifetime experience! You may even have the chance to view dolphins riding the bow wave of the yacht. Amazing photo opportunities and the chance to view abundant sea life, an absolute must for any visitor to the Bay of Islands.
At lunchtime the yacht anchors at one of the many idyllic islands where a traditional kiwi barbeque (often commented on as being the best lunch in the Bay) is provided.
Passengers can go ashore and participate in some great island activities, swimming, snorkeling, nature walks, or simply kick back and enjoy the relaxed pace and island atmosphere.
