With Abel Tasman Dive your adventure begins when you board our boat at Kaiteriteri Beach in Nelson, the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park and take a spectacular 30 minute trip along the coastline. The diving is fun and easy and the water is clear. What else can you expect to see? Well we can keep on telling you how great it is but the best way to find out is to come and experience all this for yourself!
Dive tours leave Kaiteriteri beach which is the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.
Snorkel Tours
Relax on the surface of the clear water while watching fish feed or dive down and explore the rocks to see crayfish and crabs sunning themselves in the shallows.
Maybe a curious NZ Fur Seal will come by to say hi!
Scuba Diving Tours (certifed divers only)
Certified divers can enjoy a full days diving with our guides, exploring the reefs and see shoaling butterfly pearch, moki, blue cod and terakihi.
Watch crayfish and crabs feeding and lazing about in the sun or watch a curious octopus play hide and seek.
Discover Scuba Diving
No experience necessary! Try Scuba Diving for the first time in the sea! This one day adventure requires no previous diving experience. We provide all the gear along with skill instruction and everything you need to know to stay safe in the water. All this along with two sea dives in the pristine Abel Tasman National Park.
Trip Includes
- Optional FREE return transfers from Nelson accommodation
- A 30 minute scenic boat ride with us to the Tonga Island Marine Reserve
- All Snorkel and Dive gear provided including wetstuits
- Lunch on your own private golden beach where you can swim and sunbathe in between dives
Duration
- Allow 7 hours from Kaiteriteri Beach
- Allow 9 hours if getting transfers from Nelson
Departures
- 8.15am from Nelson (returns by 5pm)
- 9am from Kaiteriteri Beach (returns by 3.30pm)
- Departs from Kaiteriteri Beach located 45 minutes from Nelson
- Free transfers available from Nelson (must be pre booked)
- Operates all year however the water is warmest during the summer months (Oct-Apr)
Other Information
- Minimum age is 10 years old for scuba diving
- Lunch is included
- All dive tours and dive courses run with a minimum of two people
- Certified divers will get a full days diving (2 tanks). Extra tanks available on request
