Welcome to Kawarau Jet, based on the shores of scenic Lake Rotorua, New Zealand. If ever a jet boat ride lived up to its catch-cry of speed, spins and adrenaline, it’s got to be with Kawarau Jet. You’ll only have to look at the smiley faces of passengers who’ve embarked from the big yellow boat to know they’ve had an awesome experience.

This is a fantastic half hour trip filled with adrenalin pumping action! Take this classic blood pumping thrill ride in our sleek yellow boat and take in four historical landmarks on the way. You’ll pass by Mokoia Island, the Sacred Island and over the world renowned Sulphur Lake.

This is the very best way to experience our unpredictable and beautiful Lake Rotorua and this awesome trip is available for all ages. Under 5’s ride for free. A courtesy pick up & drop off within the city can also be arranged.

Trip Includes

  • Departs from pier on Memorial Drive on Rotorua’s scenic Lakefront only minutes from the town centre

  • Kawarau Jet has no age restrictions and it is quite safe and a lot of fun for kids.  We have taken 3-month old babies out on the lake!
  • Wear a warm jacket or fleece, casual footwear, sunglasses and sunscreen

  • Spray jackets are provided as well as beanies and gloves in winter months
