Our Garden City - 20 minutes
Flying above Christchurch after the Earthquake of February 22nd 2011 is a sobering experience. An aerial perspective of our ‘Garden City’ confirms the turmoil wreaked upon this once architecturally recognised landscape and confirms the harsh blow dealt to the local people. This aerial perspective will impress upon you the massive task of the rebuild and in line with that task a donation of $10 per person, for all passengers on this flight, will be given in support of the ‘Christchurch Mayoral Relief Fund’.
Chest Peak Alpine Landing - 90 minutes
From the HELiPRO Helicentre we fly west over the Canterbury Plains on track to the majestic Waimakariri Gorge, gateway to the Southern Alps. Enjoy the thrill of flying through this spectacular steep sided river canyon before climbing
to land at high altitude on the summit of the dramatic Chest Peak. Here you will enjoy expansive 360 degree views overlooking the Canterbury Plains and our snow capped alpine mountains. After enjoying some light refreshments in the pure mountain air, re board your helicopter and enjoy a thrilling descent over the Ashley River and Lee’s Valley for the return flight to Christchurch. This is a truly unforgettable trip which can be made even more special by requesting our optional picnic lunch to be enjoyed either in the heart of the Waimakariri Gorge, or on the top of Chest Peak.

So you think you’ve got what it takes to fly a helicopter!!!
HELiPRO gives you the chance to have a ‘hands on’ attempt at flying a helicopter. Experience the thrill of taking the controls of your helicopter and trying to master the skills of hovering and flying (with a qualified instructor beside you of course). This once in a lifetime experience is by appointment only and is available 7 days a week. Approx. 40 minutes which includes your informative pre-flight pilot’s briefing. (One person only required for this flight)

- Infants under 2 years travel for free
- Children are welcome (same price as adults)
- You will need to drive yourself or catch a taxi to the Helipro base located at Harewood Aviation park on Pound road next to Christchurch airport. This is 10kms or 15 minutes drive from central Christchurch
- All scenic flights except for U Fly require a minimum of 2 passengers to confirm the flight. If you are travelling on your own you can still book and we will endeavour to confirm the flight with other passengers
- Weight restriction for U-Fly is 105kgs
