Bungy - 40m Bridge AJ Hackett Auckland
About
Description
Auckland is home to the worlds first harbour bridge Bungy Jump and is operated by the Bungy originals - AJ Hackett Bungy.
Located at Westhaven Marina and featuring some of the best views in Auckland, the Bungy Centre (known as the 'Bach'), has easy access, loads of parking, and you can choose from a range of activities; and then there's the Bungy pod, tucked into the Harbour Bridge, this engineering marvel is where it all gets extremely real.
As part of the Bungy experience you'll enjoy an exclusive bridge walk out to the specially-constructed and sensationally-suspended retro 'Bungy pod'. It's here you'll build up the courage to leap out over the Waitamata Harbour.
Once airborne take time to enjoy the views of the harbour, that is if you can keep your eyes open long enough.
There's a variety of Bungy options available with the optional 'water touch' being the favourite.
We believe you won't be able to capture the true spirit of Auckland without giving this Bungy a go.
Bungy Spectator
If you're fascinated by Bungy but not sure if you're up for it, find out for yourself in Auckland.
Watch friends or family take the leap from Bungy pod, you've got a perfect vantage point from the stairwell across from the pod.
This is the closest you can get to the action at any of our AJ Hackett Bungy sites... and who knows, you might just be inspired to give it a go!

No trip to NZ is complete without jumping off something! This jump is more than a Bungy as you have to walk out under the grand old Auckland Harbour Bridge just to get out to the jump pod. The bridge is amazing in size and as you get closer to the jump zone you start to hear the music pumping away…After some discussion with one of the AJ Jump Masters I decided on a water touch and even though not always guaranteed I managed to get my hands beautifully into the water – PERFECT. These guys at AJ Hackett are simply without a doubt the best in the world. The quick release system is also very cool. After you jump you pull a release and your feet are magically no longer attached, you flip up into a seated position and are pulled back to the jump pod – love this company!
Suggestions: Worldwide Bungy was invented in NZ by AJ Hackett. If you make it this far around the world then the answer is YES – you should jump! If you want to do more than one jump they will let you try other jump styles.
