Located in Auckland, we provide Aerobatic and Scenic Flights above the ‘City of Sails’ in one of the world’s most elite Aerobatic Aircraft, the Extra 300.
The Ride
The performance of the EXTRA 300 enables our pilots to provide thrills unequalled by any other aircraft. However the level of excitement is entirely up to you, we can be as gentle as a glider, or take you to the edge of human physical tolerance in a ride that makes a rollercoaster seem timid. If you’re up to the challenge you’ll be taken through high speed, high G manoeuvres, soar through the sky inverted, and scream vertically toward the earth. All whilst taking in breathtaking views of the greater Auckland region.
The Pilots
Our Pilots are experienced aerobatic competition flyers and are fully trained commercial pilots qualified as Aerobatic Flight Instructors. Not only can they provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience, they can even teach you how to fly upside down!
The Aircraft
Perhaps most famously known for competing in the “Red Bull Air Race” the EXTRA 300 is the worlds foremost two seat certified aerobatic aircraft. With a top speed of over 400km/hr and certified for flight at up to 10 G’s the EXTRA 300 is capable of delivering thrills unlike anything else on earth.

Basic - 20 mins
Experience the thrill of aerobatics in one of the world’s most famous aerobatic aircraft, the Extra 300. Loops, rolls & dives.
Sports - 20 mins
Strap yourself in as we load up the G and crank up the speed. Full on aerobatic thrills including vertical and ‘Zero G’. A real adrenaline rush!
Advanced - 20 mins
Your introduction to ‘Negative G’. Not for the faint hearted, hold on tight as we reveal an entirely new level of excitement. Only serious thrill junkies need apply.
Unlimited - 20 mins
The world’s ultimate thrill ride. Prepare for an unrivalled sensory onslaught as we unleash the full power of the Extra 300 and take you through a full airshow routine.

- Allow 2.5hrs round trip if travelling from Auckland city (25kms from XFlight hangar at Ardmore airport)

- Every hour from 9am to 5pm
- Departs from Auckland Aero Club hangar at Ardmore airport, Papakura, 25kms south of Auckland city

- Flights depart from the Ardmore airport in Papakura, 25kms south of Auckland city. You can drive yourself or catch a taxi or train from the city to Papakura
- Bookings are essential
- Under 18 year olds need guardian consent
- Max height is 193cm (6'4"), max weight is 120kgs (264lbs)
- From our elevated position on the airfield we have an outdoor viewing area, as well as air conditioned indoor viewing, and the Ardmore Café is located on site
